It is difficult to precisely define what the work of the business analyst is because the roles changes with the organization where it is performed. Nonetheless, this course outlines the main business analysis concepts in order to give participants a clear vision of the work required whatever his role within the organization.  This course is based on the second edition of the Business Analysis Book Of Knowledge (BABOK).

AT THE END OF THIS TRAINING, participants will understand the role and responsibilities of the business analyst. They will be introduced to the techniques and tools used for each process (step) and will be able to understand how to define the solution by specifying the objectives, issues and specifications of products and services to design for clients. They will also determine the activities and deliverables that are their responsibility and those to which they must contribute. This course includes a half-day workshop devoted exclusively to writing requirements, business rules, use cases and user stories. The course includes a large number of exercises based on a realistic case study. The exercises allow participants to apply the concepts they have just seen

  • Participants will be able to:
    • Identify and describe the main activities of Business Analysis
    • Understand the issues of Business Analysis
    • Identify the roles and activities of a business analyst in a project context
    • Identify the deliverables that are the responsibility of the Business Analyst and what else he might have to contribute

    The course provides theoretical foundations in order to give participants the necessary knowledge of best practices in business analysis. Not only is there a series of practical exercises based on scenarios to help participants to assimilate the concepts, but there will also be a half-day practical workshops devoted to writing use cases and user stories.

    • Understand how to set up the necessary elements to capture information
    • Knowing how to identify the characteristics necessary to clearly document the scale of projects
    • Knowing the principles of effective documentation requirements
    • Knowing how to discover the root causes of problems in order to find appropriate solutions
    • Gain the ability to organize and classify business requirements
    • Knowing how to ensure that all needs support the delivery of value to the company
    • Knowing how to ensure that all needs reach the goals and objectives of stakeholders
    • Know the principle of planning the validation and approval requirements
    • Knowing how to ensure that the transition to the new solution will be consistent and efficient (change management)
    • Knowing how to ensure that the deployed solution meets the needs of stakeholders
    • Knowing how to write a use case (use case) to the appropriate level of detail for stakeholders Business
